Day 1: Drive to Langano en route visit Lake Ziway

After a breakfast you will be driven to Langano (200 Km appx. 4.5h). En route you will make a stop at Awash River (most used & irrigated river in Ethiopia) and visit Lake Ziway know for aquatic birds. (Optional excursion; you will take boat trip on Lake Ziway to Tulu Gudo island & visit the monastery St. Mary church where the Ark of covenant kept for 70 years and learn about the Zay people’s link to the Ark). You will have lunch at Haile Resort.

Then drive to Langano Hara Langano lodge. Upon arrival check in to lodge. Rest & relax or spend the day walk around the beautiful compound with forest to observe different birds and/or (Not included in tour price);you can rent kayak, motorboat, sailing boat, mountain bike or horse.  Overnight stay in Hara Langano lodge. 

Day 2:Drive to Yirega Alem & explore Sidama Village

In the morning after breakfast, you will drive to Yirega Alem (130 Km from Hara Langano). After check in to lodge & spend the day visiting the surrounding Sidama Village and visit the farmers garden Coffee. In between you will have lunch in Aregash Lodge.

Late in the afternoon drive back to Yirega Alem. You will have dinner and spend the night at the lodge. Overnight stay in Aregash Lodge. http://www.aregashlodge.com/

Day 3: Drive to Awassa

Today you have two options, check out late & spend more time in the lodge, then drive to Awassa (58Km from Aregash lodge).

Or check early morning & drive to Senkelle Wildlife Sanctuary (60 Km from Awassa, well-known for endemic and endangered subspecies of Swayne’s Hartebeest).

Upon arriving in Awassa in the afternoon, you will check into a hotel. Later, you can walk along the lake shore for nice evening sunset and aquatic birds. You will have dinner and spend the night at the hotel. Overnight stay in Lake View or Oasis Hotel, Awassa.

 Day 4: Drive back to Addis Ababa

In the morning after breakfast, you will drive back to Addis Ababa (275 Km from Awassa). On the way you will visit the scenic morning Fish Market in Awassa.

En route, you will visit Lake Abijatta-Shala National Park, Lake Shala (a very deep crater lake – over 260 meters deep) and Lake Abijatta (a soda lake with thousands of flamingos). You will have lunch in Ziway. If you are interested at local restaurant go Tourist hotel for Shekila Tibs.

After Ziway, if you don’t to drive the same way take Ziway – Butajira – Addis road. While you have an Optional excursion to Tiya stelae (apprx. 37 Km from Adadi Mariam, a UNESCO heritage, where of a peculiar type of engraved, grave marking standing stelae, believed to have been erected between the 12th and 14th centuries stand and/or Melka-Kunture (Prehistoric Site lies near the Awash River Gorge is one of the most important archeological sites in Ethiopia, where hand axes and various other implements have been found).

You will arrive in Addis Ababa late afternoon where you will be transferred to home.
